Binder
DVD
binder woe's have you down? Not a problem. We will take
about the various way you can use DVD binders to organize
your DVD media collection starting right
now.
Having a DVD binder can really help you
organize your home media collection. You can use a DVD
binder for movies, video games, and of course CD music as
well. Most DVD binder's are built to function well for a
variety of different media needs.
Protection:
You
can find DVD binders in varying levels of protection.
Some DVD binders are built from what's known as a “Hard
shell” construction. These often look a lot like the
metal briefcases that you may be familiar with. These are
best suited for one of two types of general
uses.
If
you need to take your DVD movies or other digital media
on the go with you, you will often want to use a hard
shell case as opposed to a soft side or vinyl sided
carrying case. This is often the case for people like
DJ's that may take music video's, movies, or even music
that has been burned onto a DVD with them where ever they
go. The next most obvious use for this high protection,
high security DVD binder would be young adults and
teenagers. This is especially true for college students
who have ver compact room's as it is.
Capacity:
You
will want to find a DVD binder that is not only capable
of handling your collection of movies, but capable of
giving you room to “Grow into it.” By that we mean that
it has enough extra storage space in it that it will be
able to house and protect your movies as your collection
grows and increases in size. This is an often over looked
concept that is very important for almost any media
lover.
Size:
Typically speaking a DVD binder will
come in a single row and double row style. The single row
style is going to be the much more compact option that
will be idea for you if you don't have great capacity
needs, and at the same time value a lightweight, portable
solution. These are very easy to take with you anyplace
you may go and will hold DVD's, Blu Ray's, CD's, and
every other kind of media that fits on an optic
disc.
The
double row solution is more suitable for higher capacity
needs. They are typically heavier to carry around then
their single row counterparts, ergo they are not well
suited for easy transportation. These double row styles
are best suited for single location use, and for
primarily organization purposes.
Materials:
Typically speaking, if you are someone
that needs to take their media on the go with them you
will want to look for a DVD binder made out of vinyl or
another lightweight material. Protection won't suffer too
much as these often come with stiff “Walls” on either
side of the discs themselves to help protect your
media.
You
can often find a DVD binder made out of rubberized
material which are ideal for on-the-go lifestyles as
well. However, if you are looking at these DVD binders
make sure that you avoid the foam constructed binders.
These do not react well in moisture and will often fall
apart quickly once they get wet.
